Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This supplemental notice explains how Thrive handles fitness and body-measurement information that may be consumer health data under applicable US state laws. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
Thrive is a fitness application operated from Victoria, Australia. This notice applies where applicable law gives additional protections to consumer health data. It does not claim that any particular US state law applies to every user or that this notice alone satisfies every consent, authorization or contract requirement.
2. Categories and Sources
Depending on the features you use, Thrive may handle:
- Body weight, Body Mass and related progress information entered by you.
- Body Mass or weight imported from Apple Health after you actively authorize the integration.
- Workout history, exercises, sets, repetitions, loads, goals and training restrictions or preferences.
- Fitness recommendations or estimates generated from information you submit to AI features.
- Optional location information associated with a post when you actively use the location feature.
Sources include you directly, your device, Apple Health when authorized, and information generated or derived from your workout activity and interactions with Thrive. You may withhold optional health or body information; denying Health permission prevents Health import but does not prevent unrelated core app use.
3. Uses
We use this information to provide the fitness, progress, workout-planning, social and AI features you request; maintain safety and moderation; improve reliability; and comply with legal obligations.
Health and fitness information is not used for targeted advertising. Thrive does not sell consumer health data.
5. Choices and Rights
- Apple Health access is optional and can be revoked in device settings.
- You can avoid providing optional body measurements or location and still use unrelated features.
- You can request confirmation/access, correction, deletion or answers to privacy questions by emailing the Privacy Contact at customersupport.thrive@gmail.com.
- You can withdraw an applicable consent prospectively by contacting the Privacy Contact or revoking the relevant device/integration permission.
- You can delete your account through Settings → Delete Account.
- If a request is denied where applicable law requires an appeal or review process, ask the Privacy Contact for the available review process.
- We may verify your identity before acting on a request.
Requests and rights are subject to applicable law and lawful exceptions, including security, moderation, legal and backup retention. Deletion requests may need to propagate to applicable processors; Thrive does not promise instantaneous or universal deletion from every provider system.
6. Contact
For questions, complaints, deletion requests or withdrawal requests, contact the Thrive Privacy Contact at customersupport.thrive@gmail.com. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
