Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Thrive app and website. Please read them carefully.
1. Agreement to the Terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form an agreement between you and Thrive (“Thrive”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Thrive is operated by Jamie Liddicoat from Victoria, Australia. By creating an account or using the app or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Thrive.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
- To create an account, you must be at least 13, or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction.
- Social participation features — such as posting, liking, commenting, saving and following — require you to be at least 16.
- If you are below the age of legal adulthood, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or guardian where required.
- Safety tools such as reporting and blocking remain available where appropriate, including to users under 16.
3. Description of Thrive
Thrive is a fitness logging, progress tracking and social fitness application. Features include workout logging, progress statistics, a social feed (Fit Reels and All Posts), quests and badges, and AI features such as the Equipment Scanner, Training Planner and Workout Insights. Features may change, and some features may require a paid subscription.
4. Account Registration and Security
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us promptly at customersupport.thrive@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
5. Limited Licence to Use Thrive
Subject to these Terms, Thrive grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and website for your own non-commercial fitness use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
6. Fitness, Health and Medical Disclaimer
- Thrive provides general fitness information only.
- It is not medical care, diagnosis or treatment.
- It is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, physiotherapist, dietitian or qualified trainer.
- Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise routine where relevant.
- Stop exercising and seek help if you experience pain, dizziness, breathing difficulty or other concerning symptoms.
- Results vary between individuals and are not guaranteed.
- You are responsible for choosing appropriate loads, technique, equipment and training environment.
For more detail, see our AI & Fitness Disclaimer.
7. AI Features
- AI-generated content can be incorrect, outdated, incomplete or unsafe.
- It may not account for injury, disability, pregnancy, medication, medical conditions or equipment differences.
- You must independently assess AI outputs before relying on them.
- There is no guarantee that AI recommendations will achieve any particular result.
- Do not rely on AI features for emergencies or medical decisions.
- AI availability and limits can change.
- Abuse, automated extraction, prompt-injection attempts and attempts to bypass limits are prohibited.
8. Equipment Scanner Safety
- Equipment identification is probabilistic and may be wrong.
- Similar machines can have different designs and uses.
- Always verify the machine label, manufacturer instructions and gym guidance.
- Do not use a piece of equipment solely because the scanner identified it.
- Consult gym staff or a qualified professional where you are uncertain.
9. No Emergency Services
Thrive is not monitored as an emergency service and cannot provide urgent help. If you need urgent assistance, contact your local emergency services immediately.
10. Subscriptions, Trials and Purchases
Thrive may offer Thrive Pro, Thrive Ad-Free, monthly and/or yearly recurring subscriptions, and a lifetime Ad-Free purchase where available. Exact plans, prices, billing periods, currency and included features are shown in the app or relevant store at the time of purchase.
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by Thrive.
- Prices and currency are determined by the relevant store and your region.
- Thrive does not directly process card payments.
- Recurring subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through your store settings.
- Cancellation stops future renewal, but access may continue through the current paid period.
- You manage and cancel subscriptions through Apple or Google, not through Thrive.
- Deleting Thrive or deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refund requests are handled by the relevant store, subject to applicable law.
- Restoring purchases depends on the store account used to buy them.
- Thrive Pro may offer a 7-day free trial for eligible users. Eligibility is determined by Apple, the store and RevenueCat rules, and the selected plan must include the trial. Unless cancelled before it ends, the trial converts to the selected paid subscription.
- Thrive may send transactional subscription reminders around 48 hours before a trial ends, around 35 days and 7 days before a yearly renewal, and approximately every 6 months for monthly plans. These timings are approximate operational reminders, not guaranteed notices, and do not replace billing notices provided by Apple or Google.
- A one-time “lifetime” Ad-Free purchase applies for the supported lifetime of the relevant Thrive service or product, subject to mandatory consumer law.
- Available products may differ by platform and region.
11. Advertising
Eligible free users may see advertising on eligible social/feed surfaces, including Fit Reels and All Posts. Thrive Pro removes ads while the subscription is active. Active Ad-Free removes eligible advertising only and does not unlock Thrive Pro features.
12. User Content and Content Licence
You retain ownership of the content you create and upload. You grant Thrive a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence only to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, display, distribute within Thrive, moderate and otherwise operate the service.
- This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for temporary backups, prior authorised use and legally retained moderation records.
- You confirm you have all necessary rights and permissions for the content you upload.
- You must have consent before uploading content that features another person.
- Thrive does not gain ownership of your content.
13. Acceptable Use
You must not use Thrive to engage in or promote:
